Joan Sobel, another friend of Marta addressed her death on social media writing: “We lost a beautiful light today. My friend, Lynne Marta lost her good fight. A wonderfully talented actress and a beautiful singer whose voice was of the angels. A dear heart who adored her friends both human and furry. I will miss her terribly”

Born in 1945, Marta began performing as a dancer on the syndicated The Lloyd Thaxton Show according to reports

In 1966, she earned her first onscreen credits in “Gidget and The Monkees”, kicking off an acting career that spanned over three decades.

Lynne appeared on several notable television shows including ER, Days of Our Lives, The Young and the Restless, Law and Order, and even Starsky and Hutch.

She also took roles on TV shows such as; Then Came Bronson, The Man and the City, and The F.B.I. in the late ’60s and early ’70s and appeared in the films; Red Sky at Morning and Joe Kidd.

Her appearance on television for short periods continued throughout her career, including stints on Starsky and Hutch and Charlie’s Angels in the late ’70s.

Marta held a season-long role on Days of Our Lives as Charlene Higgins. She later returned to the series for appearances as different characters in 1993 and 2003.

Her final onscreen credits came in the early 2000s for episodes of ER, Crossing Jordan, the movie Time of Fear (2002), and a 2004 episode of American Dreams.
