Ray Lui spouse-Hong Kong actor, Ray Lui Leung-wai was born on December 22nd, 1956 in Chợ Lớn, Saigon, Vietnam.
Lui’s father who was known to be a businessman, moved from China to Vietnam in the 1940s.
In 1967, during the Vietnam War, Lui moved to Hong Kong with his family and was encouraged by his father to join an actors’ training class.

In the 1970s, Lui participated in TVB’s Artists Training Class and started playing extras or supporting roles in numerous television series created by the broadcaster.
As “Ting Lik” in the historical television series The Bund, which he co-starred in alongside Chow Yun-fat and Angie Chiu, Lui gained recognition in 1980.
He kept playing “Ting Lik” in The Bund’s two sequels, The Bund II and The Bund III.
Since then, Lui has portrayed the main characters in numerous television programs produced by TVB in the 1980s. After leaving TVB in 1989, Lui began producing movies and mainland Chinese television shows.
In 2009, he made a comeback to TVB, appearing as “Marcus Cheuk” in the show Born Rich.
