Jeffrey Foskett Cause Of Death, Age, Funeral: American singer, songwriter, guitarist, and record producer, Jeffrey Foskett has passed away

He was deemed the “vice principal of the Beach Boys” by some of the members and was a member of the Beach Boys for more than four decades.

Foskett was also a part of former Beach Boys member Brian Wilson’s solo band from 1998 to 2014.

Jeffrey Foskett died on Monday, December 11, 2023, after a long battle with anaplastic thyroid cancer. He was 67 years old.

“I’m so heartbroken that my dear friend Jeff Foskett has passed”; Brian Wilson said in a statement.

“Jeff was always there for me when we toured and we couldn’t have done it without him. Jeff was one of the most talented guys I ever knew. He was a great musical leader and guitarist and he could sing like an angel”

“I first met Jeff in 1976 when he knocked on my door in Bel Air and I invited him in, and we were friends ever since. I don’t know what else to say. Love and Mercy to Jeff’s family and friends, we will remember him forever”

Born on February 17, 1956, Foskett spent most of the 1980s in the Beach Boys’ touring band. He left the group in 1990 but remained close to them.

In 1996, he debuted as a solo artist and went on to release several solo albums including; “Thru My Window”, “Cool and Gone”, and “Twelve and Twelve”

Foskett won several awards including; “Top Selling Artist of the Year” in New Zealand and “Best New Foreign Artist” in Japan. He is also a member of “California Rocks” the California Rock Hall of Fame

In early 2019, Foskett took leave from the Beach Boys due to undergoing throat surgery. Later that year, he disclosed that he had been diagnosed with stage 4 anaplastic thyroid cancer in 2018 and that his falsetto vocal range had heavily deteriorated as a result of several surgeries and treatments on his vocal cords.
