‘Oh Paradise’ happens to be track 12 off Black Sherif’s 14-tracked debut studio album, ‘The Villain I Never Was‘ which was published on Thursday, October 6, 2022 and has been doing impressive numbers on streaming platforms.
Explaining the inspiration behind ‘Oh Paradise’ in a recent interview, the 2022 BET Hip Hop Awards nominee disclosed that, the single talks about the pain he has suffered following the death of his first girlfriend, Tina.

The 2022 BET Award winner bagged two nominations at the MTV Europe Music Awards (EMA) 2022. Tems was nominated in the best African act category alongside Ayra Star (Nigeria), Burna Boy (Nigeria), Zuchu (Tanzania), Black Sherif (Ghana) and Mnike (South Africa).
The ‘Crazy Tings’ crooner was also nominated in the ‘Best New Artiste’ category with Baby Keem, Dove Cameron, GAYLE, SEVENTEEN and Stephen Sanchez. The 2022 MTV EMA will take place on Sunday, November 13, at the PSD Bank Dome (Düsseldorf, Germany).
