Biography of Andrew Gee

Politician Andrew Robert Gee was born in Australia on September 13, 1968. He served as the National Party’s representative for the Calare Division of the House of Representatives from 2016 to 2022, when he resigned to become an independent.

Andrew Gee attended Newcastle Grammar School. He furthered his education at the University of Sydney and completed with Bachelor of Economics (Hons.) and Bachelor of Laws degree.

Gee works as an attorney. He represented the Orange seat in the New South Wales Legislative Assembly from 2011 until 2016. During the 2016 federal election, he was chosen to serve in the House of Representatives.

He had a cabinet position in the Morrison administration from 2020 to 2022, serving as the minister of veterans’ affairs from 2021 to 2022, decentralization and regional education from 2020 to 2021, and defense personnel from 2022 to 2022. (2021–2022). Due to the National Party’s resistance to an Indigenous Voice in Parliament, he left the organization in December 2022.
